The Danish Bible society has published a new translation of the Bible (Bibelen 2020) in which the name Israel has been completely blotted out in The New Testament part that is now called “The New Deal”, while The Old Testament part has been named “The Old Deal”.

Renaming in that way makes it harder for the reader to see that The New Testament is found hidden in The Old Testament,  and is the fulfillment of The Old Testament. It is so that Jesus called himself “the way”, and the Hebrew name for the 5 books of Moses is Torah which means “the way”, and  we must remember that Jesus said this in John 5: 45-47:"Do not think that I will accuse you before the Father; the one who accuses you is Moses, in whom you have set your hope. "For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me, for he wrote about Me. "But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?"

Israel plays an important prophetic role in Gods time schedule in the period leading up to the return of Jesus, and the prophecies about Israel are there to help the true church to be ready when Jesus returns for His bride (the church). That is one important reason not to erase the name Israel from the translation.

Another important reason is these words from Rev. 22:18-19: I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues which are written in this book;  and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree of life and from the holy city, which are written in this book.

The Devil does not want us to be ready when Jesus comes, so he has made The Danish Bible Society remove the name Israel from the translation, which shows that they work for him. If they do not repent and withdraw this false translation  and offer people who has bought the false translation

to replace the false translation they bought with a true translation, then we know from what is cited above where their destination will be. Furthermore, there are these words from Revelation 14: 11: "And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever; they have no rest day and night.

The ten virgins:

The question of being ready or not when Jesus returns is not to be taken lightly. When the disciples asked about the last days (the close of the age meaning the end of the times of the gentiles) Jesus gave the parable of the ten virgins in Matth. 25:1-13:Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, who took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were foolish, and five were wise. For the foolish, when they took their lamps, took no oil with them: but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.Now while the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

 But at midnight there is a cry, Behold, the bridegroom! Come ye forth to meet him.

 Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps.  And the foolish said unto the wise, give us of your oil; for our lamps are going out. But the wise answered, saying, Peradventure there will not be enough for us and you: go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went away to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage feast: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. Watch therefore, for ye know not the day nor the hour. 

Those who are not ready when Jesus comes for the church (His bride) will not enter into His kingdom, so to publish a translation that makes it harder for Gods children to understand the signs that show where we are in Gods timing IS a deed of the devil.

Gods opponents want the name Israel to be forgotten

 We can read in Psalm 83: 3-5:They make shrewd plans against Your people and conspire together against Your treasured ones. They have said, "Come, and let us wipe them out as a nation, That the name of Israel be remembered no more." For they have conspired together with one mind; Against You they make a covenant. The underlining is mine!

Satan hates everything and everyone God loves. That God loves Israel is clear from many

verses in the Bible, amongst those are His words to Moses in Exodus 4:22:"Then you shall say to Pharaoh, 'Thus says the LORD, "Israel is My son, My firstborn.

Israel is a “thorn in the eye” of Satan, so his servants has down through world history made one attempt after the other to erase the name Israel. They have of course foremost tried to annihilate Israel as a nation, but they have never succeeded, because God has saved Israel every time, so instead they have tried to erase the name Israel. The Roman empire renamed Israel Palestine, which is a Latin expression for Israel’s enemies the Philistines.

    Of course UN has constantly ben against Israel. About 1/3 of UN resolutions has been concerning Jerusalem and Israel, and mostly condemning  Israel.

 Now another of Satan’s servants try a new method: Erasing the name of Israel from Gods word! But we who love the word of God will not be silent and let this take place unopposed.

Good intentions?

As Jan Frost explains in the YouTube I link to in the beginning of this article, the purpose of the new translation is to show the meaning of the biblical texts rather than to stay close to the original wording. In a way that sounds good, but it is “far out” to use that as an excuse for leaving out the name Israel.

To lie is not only to tell a literal lie. It can also be to say something true while leaving out something essential. 2 Peter 2:1 that is translated to this in KJV: “But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, uses the Greek word parasoxousin in the original text. That word means “ to place lie alongside truth. 

Peter warns that false teaching will com in the form of placing lie alongside truth. That is precisely what has happened with this new translation.

Good intentions? Good intentions does not save us.obedience does! Listen to  the words of Jesus in Matth. 7:21:"Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.

Am I saying that we can save ourselves by keeping Gods law? In no way!!

Paul says in 2 Cor. 3:6:the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

What he is saying is: The law kills but Jesus gives life.

The only man who has ever kept Gods law is the man Jesus. That made it possible for Him to take our sins upon himself and die our death in order to give His life to every man who believe in Him.

 There is however in my view one area where we can be obedient: We can abstain from adding or subtracting from the word of God! If we do not abstain from that it will be with us as Paul warns about in 2 Cor. 11:3-4: But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ. For if one comes and preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted, you bear this beautifully. Another Jesus than the one Paul preached cannot save anyone!

The Danish Biblesociety could have reached their noble goal of publishing a Bible that is understandable for Danes of our time without adding or subtracting. They could have written something along these lines on the first pages:

To clarify to contemporary people what the original texts are saying we have stayed close to the original wording in the translation, and then in the margin explained the meaning of the text  as we understand it, but we are not infallible so remember the promise in 2 Cor. 1:22:who also sealed us and gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge.

Every person who is born of God by

believing that Jesus is the Messiah has been given The Holy Spirit, so read while you ask The Holy Spirit to give you wisdom to discern and understand what you are reading. God will give you the wisdom you need if you ask for it. That is promised in James 1:5-6:But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind.

Finally: What motivates The Danish Bible Society to leave out the name Israel?

Their own explanation is that they do not want to confuse the readers of the Bible, which they say could easily happen because they think there is no connection between the Israel of the Bible and todays Israel. To that I will reply: Either they lie, or they are fools, or maybe both, I say so because The Bible is filled with prophecies that  has been literally fulfilled in todays Israel. I will document that in the following:

Isaiah 66:8-9:"Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Can a land be born in one day? Can a nation be brought forth all at once *? As soon as Zion travailed, she also brought forth her sons  "Shall I bring to the point of birth and not give delivery?" says the LORD. "Or shall I who gives delivery shut the womb?" says your God.

Israel became an internationally recognized independent nation on May 14’th 1948 even though strong nations like England had sought to stop the Jews from coming back to the land.

Isaiah 27:6: In the days to come Jacob will take root, Israel will blossom and sprout, And they will fill the whole world with fruit.

The land that the Jews returned to had become completely barren because the ottomans (the turks) who ruled over the area for 400 years put tax on trees with he result that all trees had been cut down leaving the land dry end barren.

However It did not take long after 1948 before  Israel became the worlds largest exporter of fruit.

Zech. 12:2-3:"Behold, I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that causes reeling to all the peoples around; and when the siege is against Jerusalem, it will also be against Judah.

 "It will come about in that day that I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who lift it will be severely injured. And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it.

Since Israel became a nation in 1948 Jerusalem has almost constantly been the center of conflicts, and has been condemned by nearly all countries in the world, and of course, by UN. When president Trump moved the American embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem he was strongly condemned by both American politicians and by leaders of countries around the world.

Amos 9,14-15:"Also I will restore the captivity of My people Israel, And they will rebuild the ruined cities and live in them; They will also plant vineyards and drink their wine, And make gardens and eat their fruit. "I will also plant them on their land, And they will not again be rooted out from their land Which I have given them," Says the LORD your God. The underlining is mine.

When UN on May 14’th 1948 declared Israel to be a sovereign nation there were only ½ a million Jews present and their “army” consisted of appr. 50.000 civilians with no military training, and they were only partially armed, but the day after, on the 15'th of May 1948 they were attacked by armies consisting of ½ a million militarily trained and well armed arabs. Still Israel won and prewailed. Militairly such a thing does not make sence. It can only be explained by Gods decision to give them the land. Jer. 16:15-16: but, 'As the LORD lives, who brought up the sons of Israel from the land of the north and from all the countries where * He had banished them.' For I will restore them to their own land which I gave to their fathers. "Behold, I am going to send for many fishermen," declares the LORD, "and they will fish for them; and afterwards * I will send for many hunters, and they will hunt them from every mountain and every hill and from the clefts of the rocks.

My claim is that there is overwhelming proof that The Bible clearly points to todays Israel, as being an important part of Gods plan.

Had the translators been trustworthy people, they would not have left out the name of Israel for the reasons they give . What they have done speaks loudly that they are not led by The Holy Spirit in their work. You can guess for yourself what spirit leads them.
